Puppy keeps eating cords…?
I have a 1 1/2 year old female puppy that always eats cords. She’s ate over 20 pairs of ear phone, phone chargers, computer chargers, lamp cords, alarm clocks, and a fridge cord. I need help. I’m afraid she’ll get shocked or get sick, AND she’s costing us thousands of dollars in damage. She’s ate our couch, pees under the stove, and eats through the dry wall. Please help. If she doesn’t stop eating things and peeing in the floor she’ll have to be tied outside on the patio and sleep in the garage. I take her outside every 30 minutes during the day but she doesn’t go until she’s off the leash inside, in the kitchen mostly. When we’re not home she’s in her crate, which she doesn’t use the bathroom in, and as soon as we get home we take her out but she refuses to go outside.

How did people get up early 2000 years ago before alarm clocks or timers were invented?
How did people get up before they were used to getting up. Before dawn for example. Now we have alarm clocks and cell phones, how did it work back then before electronics.
How can I wake up on time in the morning?
I am fundamentally unable to wake up to an alarm clock, I’ve decided. Seriously . . . I have three alarm clocks scattered throughout my room, each of which are set to go off twice (one is my iPod, two are from the radio, and three are that characteristically annoying and loud beeping) in addition to three alarms that I set on my cell phone. I usually wake up just a few minutes before I need to be out the door in the morning, only after being screamed at by my parents or having a shoe thrown at me or the lights turned on and blinds opened (I have to leave before 6:40 am to be on time) with no recollection of either hitting snooze or turning off my alarms (I often sleep through them, waking up everybody else in the house but myself . . . you can guess the reactions).
Aside from going to bed earlier, which really isn’t an option, how can I force myself awake on time (as in 5:15 or 5:30 am)? I just stopped my coffee addicted ways, so please don’t suggest that either.
Electronics malfunction when I am near them?
Particularly cell phones and radios. I have had some trouble with alarm clocks as well (as in, the time displayed changes if it is near me, but on the other side of the room it will work fine).
My problem with cell phones is that they will only ring about half of the time someone calls if I am holding it. Again, if the phone is somewhere else it will work fine. I have tried this with many different phones.
With radios, my pressence near a radio will make the signal more or less clear. I have always thought that was normal, is it?
I have not noticed problems with other electronics. Is there a word for this? Having a name for it would help me google it better. Any help is greatly appreciated!
I have never worn braces. But, you got me thinking…I did take Lithium (a metal) in my adolescent years. Perhaps my body is still storing some of it? But, the radio thing has happened as a young child (before that).
How large of an impact has technological convergence had on the global economic crisis?
In the past, people had to buy:
- Phones
- Computers
- Cameras
- Prints of pictures
- Televisions
- VHS / CDs / DVDs
- Radios
- Alarm Clocks
- Typewriters
- Newspapers
- Video Game Consoles (and games)
- Video Cameras
- Envelopes, Stamps, labels
They had to pay specialized people to:
- Book travel for them
- Find information
- Carry important mail, or other courier services
- Investigate potential employees, or find lost friends
- Prepare their taxes for them
- Collect and analyze the news
(I could go on)
But the question is: People are buying less and less of these pieces of technology, and services, from the free market. They are opting instead for one decent mobile phone to do all that for them with convenience. Is this one reason we are in the economic turmoil we are in right now?
Are our cell phones killing our economy?
POLL: Do you ever fear that, if you fall asleep, you'll sleep through your alarm clock?
Whenever I sleep at 3 AM, 2 AM, and somtimes even 1 AM, I usually end up sleeping through TWO alarm clocks – both the one on my phone and the one on my alarm clock(they’re both pretty loud)
but I either go into a really deep sleep and sleep through it, or I sleep-walk and hit the snooze button (I"M SERIOUS)
Do ALL cell phones have alarm clocks?
I will be getting a new cell phone soon, and the feature I use ALL THE TIME is the alarm clock on my phone. I have service through Sprint. Do all cell phones have alarm clocks? It’s a pretty important feature for me.
Fear of Light?
I know someone who is afraid of light after her internal clock tells her it is past 11:00 to 11:15. She has to go into her room, cover all windows, cracks in the doors, radios, alarm clocks, cell phone, etc. If she sees light she becomes scared and panics. What could possible cause such a strange condition of fear?
